Catherine is farmer and proud nurse retiree enjoying the fruits of her labor. With a lifetime of experience and memories, she is now embracing new adventures, pursuing passions and making the most of every moment as she rose through ranks and file from leading Nchembe Tulabajanayi Women’s club, Nchembe Women Area Association chairperson to now Choma District Women Association Board Chairperson.

Ethel Mudenda

Ethel is a businessperson; she doubles as a poultry & livestock farmer, with a talent for nurturing healthy chickens and producing fresh eggs. With a focus on quality, sustainability and poultry farming, Ethel is dedicated to bringing wholesome poultry products to local tables, Now she is serving as Choma District Women Association Board vice Chairperson, she comes from Hamoonde Kaingu women area association where she served in various roles.

Mable Matomola Kolala

Mable is a business lady & a beneficiary of extensive knowledge and skills from We Effect, Zambia Land Alliance, Women for Change and Heifa International Zambia in social economic livelihoods, land rights and leadership skills that enabled her to be elected Choma urban women area association chairperson, Choma District Women Association Board secretary for two years. In 2025, she was re-elected as Choma District Women Association Board Secretary.

Meet Loveness, a creative marketeer with a passion for driving social economic growth in remote area. With knowledge on business registration, farming and chicken rearing, Loveness is empowering fellow women with businesses skills and supply local communities in her area with chicken and various groceries enabling her to be elected as Simaubi women area association chairperson because of her creativity and in 2025, she was elected as Choma District Women Association Vice Board Secretary.

Lilian is a farmer and proud contributor to Choma's agricultural sector. With a passion for sustainable farming practices and a commitment to feeding communities, Lilian is making a difference in the agriculture sector through smart agriculture knowledge sharing. From planting to harvest, she is driven by love for the natural resource conservation and a vision for a thriving future. She has since risen from Batoka A women area association chairperson, Choma District Women Association Chairperson board member in 2023 and in 2025 Choma District Women Association Board treasurer.

With a passion for sustainable farming practices and a commitment to feeding communities, Beatrice is making a difference in championing women empowerment in Masimpe women’s club where she was first elected as vice chairperson, chairperson and in 2025 she was elected as Choma District Women Association Board member.

Grecentia is a dedicated lead farmer with a heart for making a difference. Passionate about empowering others and driving positive change, Grecentia gives back through mentorship and community initiatives such as training women in climate resilient crops such as sunflower and groundnuts farming. She is a lead farmer who is building a stronger and supportive community at Nachibanga women’s club and Batoka women area association and in 2025 she was elected as Choma District women association board member.

Meet Litah, a broiler farmer passionate about raising healthy broilers and producing quality meat products. With a commitment to chicken rearing and sustainable farming practices, Litah is proud to contribute to Choma's thriving broiler industry. From feed to plates of patients at Macha Mission hospital and various households in Macha. She benefited knowledge and sunflower seeds from We Effect that enabled her start her broiler farming business and now she is inspiring many households who refer her household as a project site. In 2025 she was elected as Choma District Women Association board member.

Anastasia, an entrepreneur who massively benefited from We Effect livelihood and climate resilient training, she is passionate about real estate investment where she has built houses for rentals at Mbabala township from the proceeds of broiler farming. With a focus on quality, sustainability and women empowerment, Anastasia is dedicated to coordinating all women area associations following her election as Choma District Women Association coordinator.
